Adéle de Villiers — Founder of QuickCloset

Adéle de Villiers is a South African entrepreneur and commercial technology leader, based in Cape Town, South Africa. She is the founder of QuickCloset, a digital wardrobe platform helping people catalogue what they already own, plan outfits, and sell what they no longer wear.

Background

Adéle completed Founder Institute's startup accelerator programme in 2022, and is also the founder of Corporate Tomboy. She built QuickCloset independently over the past year, working across product design and the underlying technology herself.

Why she created QuickCloset

South Africa's secondhand fashion apps are transaction-first: you open them only once you already know what you want to buy or sell. Closet-organiser apps have existed for years without mass adoption, because cataloguing a wardrobe by hand is tedious.

Adéle set out to solve both problems at once: QuickCloset uses AI to make cataloguing effortless, so that selling becomes a natural byproduct of owning and organising a wardrobe — not a separate project you have to sit down and do.
