Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of QuickCloset (the "app", "Service"), operated in South Africa. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What QuickCloset Is

QuickCloset lets you catalog your wardrobe, plan outfits, get AI-assisted styling suggestions, and — if you choose — list items from your own closet for sale to other users on our marketplace. Selling is optional; the core cataloging and outfit-planning features work whether or not you ever list anything.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and old enough in your jurisdiction to enter a binding sale if you plan to buy or sell on the marketplace. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, and for keeping your login credentials secure.

3. Marketplace Rules

• Listings must accurately describe the item — condition, size, and any flaws. Photos should be of the actual item being sold.
• Prices are set in South African Rand (ZAR) by the seller.
• You may not list counterfeit goods, stolen items, or anything illegal to sell.
• You may not use the marketplace to harass, defraud, or circumvent these Terms (for example, arranging a sale in-app and then completing payment outside it to avoid buyer protections).
• Any platform fee charged on a sale, if applicable, is disclosed to the seller before the sale completes.

4. Payments and Wallet

Marketplace payments are processed by Peach Payments. When a buyer pays, the funds are held until the item is confirmed delivered (or picked up), at which point they're credited to the seller's in-app QuickCloset wallet. Sellers can request a payout of their wallet balance to a linked bank account. QuickCloset is not a bank — the wallet is an internal ledger of what you're owed, not a separate regulated deposit account.

5. Delivery and Fulfillment

Depending on the listing, delivery is either arranged via our courier partner (PUDO, The Courier Guy's locker network) or in person between buyer and seller. QuickCloset facilitates the booking and tracking where a courier is used, but is not the courier itself — courier delays or damage in transit are ultimately the courier's responsibility, though we'll help resolve issues where we reasonably can through the dispute process below.

Courier shipping does not include insurance. PUDO does not insure parcels in transit, and QuickCloset does not provide any additional insurance on top of that. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, neither QuickCloset nor the courier is liable for the item's value — by choosing courier shipping, both the buyer and seller accept this risk. Package items securely, and consider local pickup instead for higher-value items if this risk is a concern.

6. Disputes

If an order doesn't go as expected (item not as described, not delivered, etc.), either party can file a dispute through the app. We'll review the details provided by both sides and resolve it — including, where appropriate, refunding the buyer's wallet or releasing funds to the seller. Filing a dispute in bad faith to avoid a legitimate sale is a violation of these Terms.

7. Your Content

You keep ownership of the photos and content you upload. By uploading them, you give QuickCloset a license to store, display, and process them (including sending them to third-party services like our AI stylist or background-removal provider — see the Privacy Policy) solely to provide the Service to you and, for marketplace listings, to potential buyers.

8. Prohibited Conduct

• Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation with anyone.
• Uploading content you don't have the right to share.
• Attempting to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service.
• Using the Service for anything illegal under South African law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that any item will sell, that AI styling suggestions will always be accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We make reasonable efforts to keep things running smoothly and to fix problems when they come up.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by South African law, QuickCloset is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service, including losses caused by third parties we integrate with (couriers, payment processors) acting outside our control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, engages in fraud, or poses a risk to other users. You can delete your own account at any time by contacting us.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
