Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information QuickCloset ("QuickCloset," "we," "us") collects when you use the QuickCloset app or website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. QuickCloset is a closet-cataloging, outfit-planning, and secondhand-marketplace app operated in South Africa.

We've written this to reflect what the app actually does, not a generic template — if a section below doesn't apply to how you use QuickCloset (for example, you've never listed an item for sale), that data simply doesn't exist for your account.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. Username, email address, full name, avatar photo, and bio, if you choose to add them.

Body and style information (optional). If you use the sizing or AI Stylist features, we store measurements (height, chest, waist, hip), clothing sizes, body shape, and style preferences you provide. If you submit a reference photo for color analysis, we derive and store a color season, undertone, and general skin-tone value from it, along with your style notes.

Closet photos. Photos of clothing items you catalog, with backgrounds optionally removed. These are stored so you can view and organize your closet, and — only if you choose to list an item for sale — shown to potential buyers.

Location. If you grant location permission, we store your city name and approximate coordinates to power weather-based outfit suggestions. This is never used to track your precise real-time location, and the app works without it — outfit suggestions just won't be weather-aware.

Shipping and delivery information. If you buy or sell on the marketplace, we collect a phone number and either a chosen courier locker pickup point or a delivery address, used only to arrange courier collection/delivery or in-person pickup for that transaction.

Payment and payout information. Purchases are processed by Peach Payments — we never see or store your full card number. If you sell items and want to withdraw your balance to a bank account, we store your bank name, account holder name, and the last 4 digits of your account number; the full account number is held by Peach Payments, not us.

Marketplace and transaction data. Listings you create, orders you place or receive, wallet balance and transaction history, and any dispute you file or are named in (including the reason and resolution).

Device and usage information. A push-notification token (if you allow notifications), and which features you use (e.g. AI Stylist, Find in Closet) so we can tell if the app is actually useful, not to build an ad profile.

Waitlist signups. If you join the waitlist before creating an account, we store only your email address.

2. What We Don't Collect

QuickCloset deliberately does not have in-app buyer/seller chat, so there are no private messages of yours sitting on our servers — contact details needed for a sale are shown on the order itself, not exchanged through a stored inbox. We also never store your full card number or full bank account number — those live with Peach Payments, our payment processor, not with us.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To run the core features you're using: cataloging, outfit planning, AI styling, weather suggestions, and the marketplace.
• To process payments, courier bookings, and payouts for marketplace transactions.
• To send you transactional emails and notifications (e.g. order confirmed, item delivered) related to your own activity.
• To investigate and resolve disputes between buyers and sellers.
• To understand feature usage in aggregate, so we know what to improve.

4. Who We Share Data With

We use a small number of external service providers to run QuickCloset. Each only receives the specific data it needs to do its job:

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers.

5. Data Retention

When you delete a closet item, it moves to "Recently Deleted" and can still be restored for 30 days, after which it's permanently removed, including its photos. Sold marketplace listings are hidden from your own view 2 weeks after the sale but the underlying order, wallet, and dispute records are kept as a permanent transaction history — the same way a bank keeps a record of a completed transfer. 6. Your Rights

QuickCloset is based in South Africa and handles personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information (most of this you can edit directly in your profile).
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to certain uses of your information.
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your rights have been infringed.

7. Children's Privacy

QuickCloset is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children, and marketplace transactions require the ability to enter a binding sale, which minors generally cannot do.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access controls, and a managed database provider) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
